AVALANCHES OF MUD
HEART OF SAN FRANCISCO SAN FRANCISCO, (Rec. 9 p.m.) Feb. 7. Avalanches of mud, as a re'sult of heavy rain, tumbled down from the slopes of Mount Davidson in the heart of San Francisco, crushing six homes and killing at least two persons. The mud is at present advancing towards other homes at the rate of 400 feet an hour. Firemen are leading rescue parties.
