NEW GIANT TANK

PRODUCTION IN CANADA DESCRIBED AS BEST YET BUILT (Rec. 0.15 a.m.) OTTAWA, Feb. 5. Canada's new style of heavy tank is already being shipped to Canadian troops in Britain. It is described by the Commander-in-Chief of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Britain; Lieutenant-general A. G..L. McNaughton, as the best giant tank yet built. Details of the construction cannot be disclosed, but General McNaughton said that it was big enough to deal with Germany's largest tanks. It combined the needs for heavy armour with great gun-power and speed.
