DOMINION ATHLETES

SPORTS MEETINGS IN EGYPT (N.Z.E.F. Official News Service) CAIRO, Feb. 4. Two New Zealand sports teams will compete in the international meetings, the first of their kind in Egypt, next Sunday. Twenty athletes have now been released from their units for special training and will travel to Alexandria to compete against Greeks from the Hellenic Athletic Union.

The New Zealand oarsmen will compete as a Dominion team against five combined clubs of Cairo on the Nile for the Egyptian championship. Previously, the New Zealanders who competed at regattas rowed as members of the Cairo River Club.
