FOOD SHIP TO BE SENT (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY. Jan.. 27. It is officially stated in London that to meet the appalling conditions in Greece the British and American Governments are prepared to authorise the despatch of a single ship with 8000 tons of wheat to Greece, the cargo to be applied under the auspices of the International Red Cross. For many weeks reports have been reaching London of the mass starvation in Greece as a result of the war with Italy and Germany, and subsequent Axis occupation of the country- Deep concern : has been expressed here at the sufferings of this gallant .people, and the sending of this food ship is the immediate answer.
