WEDDING

Tilbury—Hamer The wedding was celebrated on Wednesday at St. Matthew’s Church of Ivan Spencer, younger son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Tilbury, of Shiel Hill, and Joyce Anita, third daughter of Mr and Mrs John Hamer, of Alva street. The Rev. W, A. Hamblett was the officiating minister, and Mr Axel Newton played the organ. The bride looked charming in a frock of chaffinch blue silk crepe, featuring shirred sleeves and a bustle back. She wore a small veiled hat in navy blue, and her accessories were also in navy. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations sweet peas and roses. The bridesmaids, Misses Maude Jolly and Geraldine Hamer, were dressed in frocks of dusky pink crepe, featuring the new long-waisted effect. They wore leghorn hats, and their bouquets Were of sweet peas and dahlias. Mr Errol Tilbury attended as best man A reception was held at Wain’s Hotel, where Mrs Hamer received the guests, attired in a floral frock of crepe de chine and black edge-to-edge coat. Mrs Tilbury wore an ensemble of grey sheer, with navy accessories and a fox fur. For travelling, the bride wore a linen suit of cornflour blue. The future home of Mr and Mrs Tilbury will be in Dunedin.
