FRUIT SQUASH

Any soft fruit can be used for this. Cover a pound of fruit such as strawberries or raspberries with half a pound of castor sugar, and leave for several hours before straining. Add the juice of half a lemon and fill up with water or soda water, and a little ice if possible. The fruit juice will keep a day or two in a very cool place.
