DAILY INTERCESSION
Revelation xxi, 5. “Behold I make all things new." O God our Father, as we look forward to the New Year, we thank Thee that Thou hast brought us hitherto. We also pray most earnestly that we may be enabled to serve Thee with newness of life. And for all humanity let there be a new order inaugurated, characterised by peace, liberty, justice and brotherhood. We confess with deep regret the sins and shortcomings of the year now past, and we ask Thee for daily grace to devote our talents to the sacred work of bringing in that new era; for Christ’s sake, Amen.
