CHARGES AGAINST BANKRUPT In the City Police Court yesterday Leslie Wilfred Sew Hoy, who was represented by Mr R. A. King, appeared for sentence on four charges of having within three years of his having been declared bankrupt, contracted debts without reasonable prospect of being able to pay them. Remarking that when the accused incurred the debts he must have known he was in a hopeless position, Mr H. W. Bundle S.M., imposed a sentence of three week’s, imprisonment on each count, the terms to be . concurrent. On a further charge of failing to keep proper books, the accused was admitted to probation for 12 months, and was ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution, £6 6s.
