A SERIOUS CHARGE
PRISONER SENTENCED John Bond, who had pleaded guilty in the Police Court to a charge of an indecent assault on a male, was yesterday sentenced in the Supreme Court by Mr Justice Kennedy to 18 months' imprisonment with hard labour. Mr O. G. Stevens, who appeared lor the prisoner, said that he had been previously convicted of an unnatural offence and had served a term of imprisonment. He asked for whatever leniency the court could extend. The Crown prosecutor (Mr F B. Adams) did not address the court.
