CHRISTMAS CHORAL SERVICE

At the Congregational Church, Moray place, the evening service on Sunday took the form of a Christmas choral service, the programme of sacred music being rendered by a specially augmented choir. Visiting soloists were Miss Joyce Ashton, Miss Dorothy Olive, Mr Rowland Dunbar and Mr Russell J. Laurenson, whose rendering of extracts from Handel's " Messiah " were inspiring to all who heard them. Carols provided an opportunity for members of the choir to sing in duet, trio and quartet es well as in concerted items. Mrs Olive Campbell was at the organ. The devotions before and after the singing were conducted by the minister, the Rev. John H. Harris.
