MOTOR CYCLE SPORTS

GRASS TRACK RACING The motor cycle section of the Automobile Association an afternoon's grass track racing on Saturday. The track, an ideal one, was at Mr T. Dalziel's property at Brockville, and some excellent racing was witnessed. This event, similar to dirt track racing, is thrilling to watch, and those riders who provided some spectacular crashes sportingly took them as part of the day's fun. A special newcomers' race was popular and attracted a gratifying number of entries. The following were the results:— Five-lap Newcomers' Race.—R. Baker (Rudge) 1, Kibblewhite (Triumph) 2. 250 C.C. Race (five laps).—N. Dennison (Rudge) 1, W. Morris (Triumph) 2, R. Miller (O.K. Supreme) 3. 350 C.C. Race (10 laps).—E. Nisbet (Triumph) 1, M. Sparrow (8.5. A.) 2. J. Marks (Velocette) 3. 500 C.C. Race (10 laps).—E. Smlther (A.J.S.) 1, C. Wright (Norton) 2. Unlimited . Handicap (10 laps).—E. Smith (A.J.S.) 1, E. Nisbet (Triumph) 2, C. Wright (Norton) 3. In a short acceleration test results were: 500 C.C C. Wright 1, E. Smither 2. 350 C.C—E. Nisbet 1. J. Marks 2. 250 C.C—N. Dennison 1. W. Morris 2.
