ORDEAL IN LIFEBOAT

SURVIVORS OF TORPEDOED SHIP THREE DIE FROM EXPOSURE (Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 13. Nineteen of 22 U-boat victims have been landed at Keeraun, near Clifden, after 15 days in an open boat and covering over 1000 miles. Three died of exposure. The lifeboat was beached in high seas, and a fisherman waded out and carrie:! the survivors ashore. Nine were taken to hospital. The survivors had one biscuit a day after their ship was torpedoed.
