WOMEN'S WAR SERVICE AUXILIARY
WAIKOUAITI BRANCH Mrs Herbert presided at the monthly meeting of the W.W.S.A.,on Thursday last, when reports were presented by members of the committee. In the event of any national emergency the Oddfellows'' Hall will be used as a centre by the Plunket Aids, and Mrs O'Connell placed at the disposal of the Plunket Committee a room in which to store baby clothes. Mrs Holland reported on the physical culture class It was decided to close this class by holding. a social next month The committee hopes to have a canteen class started next month. At the commencement of the meeting>Mrs Herbert made fitting reference to the passing of Mrs F. Jones, wife of the Minister of Defence, all standing in silence as a mark of respect.
