Mrs W. O. McKellar returned yesterday from Christchurch. Mr and Mrs Kenneth Nicoll will leave to-day for Rlverton. where- they will in future reside. Mrs Donald Macdonald, of Waimate, will arrive to-day to stay with her daughter Mrs Stewart Armitage. Mrs H. J. D. Lambert, of New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs Macassey. of St. Clair. Mrs Davidson, of Timaru. is the guest of her sister, Mrs A. G. Paterson. of Preston crescent.

Mrs A. Boyd, of ,Hokitika, is the guest of her sister, Mrs S. T. Burton, of Argyle street. Mornington. Miss Anne Chapman, of Wes{ Eyreton, Canterbury, is the guest of Mrs J R. Paterson, of Ings avenue. Mrs J. W Hayas, ol South Canterbury, is the guest of Mrs H. W. Bundle ol Sargood street.

Mrs G. W. Reid has agreed to act as secretary of the Bridge Circle of the Otago wpmeh's Club.

Miss Viva Jacobs returned yesterday from Queenstown, where she was the guest of Mrs C. H. McKay.

Miss Amy Kane, of Wellington, president of the New Zealand Women's Institutes,, is now touring in the South Island on institute business.

Members of the Gardening Circle of the Otago Women's Club are invtted to the annual meeting and exchange of plants to-day at 3.15. Mrs Arthur Sidey has returned froiii a round of visits in Auckland and Hawke's Bay. Her sister, Mrs C. Stevens, of Mount Eden, is at present her guest.
