HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR

SOUTHLAND BOYS' VISIT Proof of the musical versatility- of the Southland Boys' High School Choir is contained in the list of items which they propose to present when they make their first Dunedin. appearance on Saturday night in the Town Hall. They will be guest performers at the Choral Society's concert. Sixty strong, the boys are a select choir, chosen from 230 members of the regular choir in Invercargill, and their accompanist and director is Mr Kennedy Black. In the " Toreador Song," from " Carmen," and the Chorale from " Faust," the boy baritone soloist, Jack Thompson, will be featured, and the other numbers to be presented by the choir include "Santa Lucia," "The Road to the Isles," "Barcarole" from "Tales of Hoffman," and the well-known " Silent Night." The Choral Society's portion of the entertainment will be directed by Mr Alfred Walmsley. . ,
