FREEZING WORKERS
CLAIM UNDER AWARDS ALLEGED (P.AJ“ AUCKLAND;' Aug. 26;-' Eighty-two members of the Aucklana Freezing Workers’ Union have issued - claims for varying vi; sums, ‘ aggregating £ISOO, against Messrs R. and W. Hellaby, Ltd., alleging that the amounts claimed represent -the difference the amounts, paid by' the firm during the past 12months and that which, should have been, paid under the freezing workers award. -, A fixture for the hearing of the claims has been made 16. The dispute,,whichvledvto a stopwork meeting at HellabyV works, at Westfield on August 5, arose out of the unusual position that there?'are two separate unions at the works—namely, Hellaby’s Meat Workers Union and the Freezing Workers Union.
