SATURDAY'S MATCHES ■■ . t \ .. ■: The three senior men's hockey matches on Saturday were played in very uncomfortable conditions. The strong wind was keen and the grounds were soft and slippery. Results:— University A 9, Albany nil. University B 3, Training College 2, H.S. Old Boys U. Technical Old Boys l. High School Old Boys met a, sadly depleted Technical Old Boys' team of only eight players. • The 19 men and the umpires ran up and down in the mud, and School tired out the Technical players in the first spell and spent the latter half, of the game mainly in Technical's circle. The high speed at which University A and Albanv started their game churned up the surface and tn these bogey conditions hockey was not seen at its best University again made the fullest use of ils. strong forward line and Albany took all the ball it could get. but failed in the circle, everv time an attack apDroached success The University B-Training College match was of fair standard and there was little between the teams at any stage Second Grade.—Universitv C 3 Albany

Women's Games Postponed The matches set down for Saturday in the Otago Women's Hockey Association's competitions were postponed owing to the state of the grounds.
