WEDDING

Lory—Familton A wedding uniting two well-known pioneer families was quietly celebrated on Saturday,, June 7, at St. Paul’s Church, Oamaru. The officiating minister was the Rev. Dr T. Paterson. The bride was Madge third daughter of Mrs Familton and the late Mr A. Familton, Hampden, and the bridegroom, John, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Lory. Balclutha. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law. Mr M. Brueton, looked charming in a teal blue Angora frock, with pintucked bodice and pleated skirt. Her hat- was of the same shade, and she carried a bouquet to tone. She was ai tended by Miss Connie Lory, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a smartly tailored frock of dusky pink Angora, with black hat. Her bouquet was to tone. The best man was Mr Ron Familton, brother of the bride. A reception was afterwards held at the Star and Garter Rooms.
