ONE-ACT PLAYS

Something outstanding in stage entertainment is to be presented on Thursday, May 29, when Owen Fletcher will produce four of his own plays at the Concert Chamber. Amusement will be the motif of the evening, the young producer having chosen laugh-provokers for these troubled times. About 40 players will take part in the programme, and they ure drawn from various dramatic societies in the city. The plays include a bizarre phantasy " I Remember You," and a mime ballet, " Goldilocks and the Three Bears," which will delight adults as well as children. A New Zealand comedy is always refreshing, and " Friendly Relations," a caricature of rustic life, will keep the audience in a good humour The last play of the evening will be a comedy, " Gentlemen of the Ballet." The proceeds of the entertainment will be devoted to the " Comforts for Fighters " Furid.
