THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY

In his lecture at the Concert Chamber on Sunday evening Mr Hodson spoke on “ Racial Evolution and the Days Before Atlantis.” The speaker gave his audience a wide sweep of human history from the beginnings of life on this planet some 2,000,000,000 years ago, when the first race commenced, to the present fifth race. Each race, he said, had a dual purpose, which was to enter and conquer a plane of awareness and to develop a sensory power: for example, the first race developed hearing, and the second touch. The fourth race, the Atlantean, developed emotional power and the sense of taste. The fifth race. Aryan, was cradled in Central Asia, and the sixth sub-race was just now being born from certain blending of the old stocks in North America, South Africa. Australia and Now Zealand, It was not by accident, said Mr Hodson, that the original settlers came to these relatively virgin lands, for (heir emigration and relative segregation from the rest of the world was part of this vast plan of racial evolution.
