ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting of the Dunedin Guq Club, the president (Mr G. E. Turner) in his report, remarked upon the keen competition and good attendance of shooters. The club had finished up the year in a stronger position financially, due mainly, to the successful meeting when it had held the Otago clay championship and the South Island skeet championship. The president also referred to the difficulties ahead of the club, due to the loss of young members who were on military s vice, and called upon the older men to keep the club going. The winners of the aggregate trophies for 1940 were as follows! —Aggregate (down the line)—R. Bruce, 80 per cent, 1; W. Morland, 86 per cent., 2. First barrel aggregate (Rutherford Cup)— R, McDonald, 79 per cent., 1; J. K. Begg, 78 per cent., 2; skeet aggregate —R. McDonald, 1; G. E. Turner, 2, The following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr R. Rutherford; vice-patron. Mr W. F. James; president, Mr G. E. Turner; vice-presidents—Messrs E P. Graham, A. A. Fairbairn, R. McDonald, J. K. Begg, S. F. Aburn, W. Morland, W. Elliott, C. M. Greenslade, J. Patterson, D. Davy, P. E. Wood and H. W. Brookes; Committee—Messrs R. Maxwell, W. J. Templeton, R. Graham, W. R. Morland, T. B. McKinlay and R. Bruce; referee, Mr W. R. Morland; captain, Mr R. Graham; auditor, Mr S. Aburn; secretary, Mr H. T. Weir. The following were the results of matches held on Saturday afternoon: — Fifteen-bird Handicap Match (five track system)—J. Paterson (11yds), 15; E. P. Graham (18yds), W. Elliott (15yds), J. Brightling (15yds), R. Bruce (12yds) and W. Morland (11yds) 14; fi. McDonald (15yds), H. W. Brookes (13yds) and D. Davey (13yds) 13; P. E. Wood (13yds) and G. E. Turner (17 yds) 12. Ten-bird Handicap Match.—J. Brightling (15yds), P..E. Wood (13yds), D. Davy (11yds), 10; G. E. Turner (17yds), H. W. Brookes (13yds) and J. Patterson (13yds) 9; R, McDonald (15yds), W. Morland (11yds), J. K. Begg (11yds), R. Maxwell (11yds) and F. B. Roy (11yds) 8.
