THE LINER MARIPOSA
CHANGE IN SCHEDULE DIVERSION FROM RUN The Matson Line has announced the temporary removal of the Marjppsa from the New Zealand and Australian run between July 16 and September 6, because cf expected heavy travel between California and Hawaii. ■ .. The Mariposa, which Was scheduled to arrive at San Francisco from Auckland on July 15 and to leave again for Auckland and Sydney on July 22. returning to San Francisco on September 9 will now miss one round trip. The liner will be able to make a round trip between San Francisco and Hawaii every 13 days during the period of her diversion from the usual run. While traffic between San Francisco and Hawaii is always heavy' in July, August and September, those months are in the period of very light traffic to' and from New Zealand. Since the loss of the liner Niagara the Pacific and Tasman services have been greatly depleted and the absence of the Manpcsa even for one voyage is regarded as serious. ■_
