DAILY INTERCESSION

Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you; that ye may be children of your Father, which is in heaven for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. — Matthew v, 44-45.

Before Thee, O Lord, we would pray for those against whom our country is at war. To Thee we submit the cause between us, praying that Thy will may be revealed in the darker as in the brighter hours. Remove all bitterness from their hearts and ours; and grant that we may come to a true understanding of each other; and be found at last, standing together in the light of a new day, purified by sorrow and bound together by lasting ties of fellowship.
