EX-DUNEDIN NAVAL ARTILLERY
ASSOCIATION REUNION The Ex-Dunedin Naval Artillery Association held its annual reunion on Saturday last, when 60 officers and men of the old company were present. The president (Mr W. B. Fowler) occupied the chair, and with him were Dr W. Newlands and Messrs R. A. Mackie and C. Turner, vice-presidents, , The reveille was sounded and the roll called. Toasts were honoured as follows—" The King and Empire.” Mr W. B Fowler: “ The Old Brigade,” Dr W. Newlands, replied to by Mr R. McKinlay, 1877; "Absent and Fallen Comrades,” Mr A. W Palmer, Mr Fowler sounding the “ Last Post ”; " The Navy and All on Service,’ Mr J. Barnes, replied to by Mr J. Wharten: “ The Association Founders and Past Presidents,” Mr G. Manson, replied to by Messrs R. A, Mackie. W. A St, Clair, and R. Smith. Items were rendered as follows; Songs— Messrs J. Barnes, T. Valentine. J. Morrison, C. Morgan, G. Ansell, B Power; recitation, C. Abbott: trumpet solo, Mr Fowler. Mr C. Turner conducted the community sing, and Mr P. Beaumont gcted as accompanist.
