DAILY INTERCESSION

FRET NOT BUT TRUST Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness. For they shall be soon cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord and do good. So shalt thou dwell in the land and feed securely. So shalt thou have thy delight in the Lord, and lie shall give thee the desires of thine heart (Psalm xxxvii: 1-4). • Almighty Father, open our eyes, and the eyes of all men, that we all may truly discern the roots of bitterness which bring forth anger and strife among the nations, and pervert our minds as well as the minds of people in other lands. May the spirit of truth come forth with power, that in all lands people may have clearer vision of the lives of each other, and unite in mutual help and pe.ace. Stay the disaster of this war, we pray Thee; may right and justice prevail. Sweep away the evil that is destroying the noble heritage of the past, and unite all peoples in the family of Thy willing children: through Jesus Christ our Lord.
