THE R.S.A. AND SUBVERSIVE INFLUENCES
TO THE EDITOR Sir,—lt cannot be said of your correspondent "9/452" that he is helping to keep alive that spirit of comradeship which came into being in that epic struggle of 1914-1918, when we as "Diggers" together were willing to throw to the wind all that was small, mean, or petty in our natures, and fight together willingly for the common cause. Hisietter in your issue of June 21 is, to my mind, nothing more than an attack on members of the executive of the Dunedin R.S.A. The attitude they have taken up in regard to " subversive influences" in our midst must, 1 am sure, appeal to all loyal New Zealanders at a time when our nation is fighting again for the freedom we havs always enjoyed. A ,c -o, your correspondent's mention of " nerves" and " neurotics" is surely not the working of a broadened and tolerant mind. At the present time can we not refrain from petty recrimination, and pull our weight together as we did on a former occasion—an occasion which all loyal " Diggers " can look back to with pride.—l am, etc., Financial Member. Popotunoa, June 27.
