It is the intention of the Hastings High School Old Boys’ Football Club to devote the proceeds from its future Saturday night dances to patriotic purposes. The first contribution of this kind was paid into the Sick and Wounded Fund last week, which followed the advancing of £ 200 from the club’s funds as an interest-free loan to the Government. The fortnightly Saturday night dances have in past winters proved popular social events in Hastings, and in view of the worthy cause it is hoped that the attendances this winter will be larger than ever.
