Prior to Mr W. Dr; Lindsay is visiting Dunedin, where his son and daughter are students at the University of Otago, and later he, with Mrs LindBay. will visit Christchurch. Mr C G. M. Boyce, headmaster of the Christchurch East School since 1929, will retire on May 20. Mr Boyce has been teaching for more than 10 years. He wenc to Christchurch from Nelson in 1916; and his first appointment in the Canterbury district was to the St. Albans School. Before hjs appointment to Christchurch he was head teacher at the Rangiora and Ashburton Schools.
