PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE

BROAD BAY BRANCH A meeting to form the Broad Bay' Patriotic Committee was held on Wednesday, March 20, and was presided over by the chairman of the Peninsula County Council (Mr J. Harbrow), together with Mr J. Nyhon and Mr R. Habershon. members of the Broad Bay Riding. The following committee was elected to form a branch of the Otago Patriotic Committee: Chairman, Mr M, H. Nyhon; secretary and treasurer, Mr H, L. King; committee —Messrs Irvine, Anderson, Thomson, Black, HeHyer. Taylor, Price Begg and Outsell, Mesdames Scott,. Driver, Harley, Fuller, Wilson. King. Dewar, and Miss Sutherland. Arrangements , were completed for the farewell social to be given on Tuesday evening to two residents of the district who are members of the second echelon.
