BEACH PATROL AT BRIGHTON

TO THE BDJTOII Sir,—-I should Mke space to express keen appreciation of the efficient manner in which the members- of the Brighton Beach Patrol have carried out their self-imposed duties during the holiday season. These young men have been constantly on guard, and now. when all-day patrol is impossible, evening patrol is still carried out. A very pleasing feature has been the happy way in- which the understudies, a group of boys, have entered into their practice and training during the day whilst their seniors have been at business. The willingness and enthusiasm of all these young men in this valued work is to be highly commended, and I am sure I am expressing the opinion of all the visitors to Brighton this season. —I am, etc.. Brighton. January 23. W. H. S.
