CENTENNIAL GREETINGS
MESSAGES FROM OVERSEAS (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON. Jan. 24. The Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) has received the following cablegram of greetings:— "Recalling the great achievements of the past 100 years, we praise God and join with you in consecration of the future for the peaceful and happy development of your heritage, having faith for' still greater things for the free and loyal neople of New Zealand. The Salvation Army will continue to make its contribution of joyful service.—(Signed) George Carpenter, general. I The Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) has received the following message from Mr C. R. Attlee, Leader of the British Parliamentary Labour Party:— The British Parliamentary Labour Party extends to New Zealand and its Government its heartiest congratulations on the Centenary of the Dominion.
