APPEALS DISMISSED

IRISH REPUBLICANS DEATH SENTENCES STAND LONDON, Jan. 23. The appeals of Barnes and Richards were dismissed. A message received on December 15 stated: For the first time since the I.R.A. began its outrages terrorists have been sentenced to death. Peter Barnes (32) and James Richards (29) were sentenced to death for murder in connection with the Coventry explosion.
