ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
CAR CRASHES INTO TREE PASSENGER FATALLY INJURED (Per United Press Association; AUCKLAND, Nov. 18. Fatal injuries were suffered by John Woods, aged about 21. of Mount Eden, a passenger in the back seat of a motor car which crashed into a tree late last night in Jervois road. Ponsonby. He died almost immediately from head injuries. The driver. Reginald Gulliver, and a companion in the front seat, James Henry Gobbi tt-Dawson, both members of the Air Force, escaped injury. KNOCKED FROM LADDER Claude Barnett, a signwriter, who resides in Howe street was knocked from a ladder by a dog on Saturday morning while working in George street. He suffered a dislocated wrist and bruises and received treatment at the Hospital FALL DOWN STAIRS As a result of slipping on the stairs at her home. 13 Russell street. Katherine Sharpe, a married woman, aged 41 years, was admitted to Hospital at 5 p’.m. yesterday suffering from a fractured arm.
