INTRODUCTION OF COMPULSORY UNIONISM CABINET ACCEDES TO REQUEST (Pep United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 19. An announcement by the Minister of (Mr D. G. Sullivan) that Cabinet had decided to accede to the request of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants to introduce compulsory unionism into the railway service was greeted with applause and cheering at a social evening held by the Woburn branch of the society in Lower Hutt on Saturday.
