JOHN McGLASHAN COLLEGE
PREPARATORY DEPARTMENT Last Thursday afternoon the small boys of the Preparatory Department, John McGlashan College, entertained their mothers. Displays of their routine work were in view with specimens of art work of the primary school, and during the afternoon, members of the classes sang some of the songs that they had learnt during the year, and gave recitations. Puppet shows were enacted in the miniature theatre. The boy’s mistress responsible for nearly all the programme received many congratulations on the success of her work. The visitors were later entertained at afternoon tea in the headmaster’s house by Mrs R. G. C. McNab. Among those present were Mrs T. C. Ross, Lady Sidey, -Miss Ivy Copeland, Mesdames C. E. Hercus, Charles Speight, J. Elvidge, D. M. Reid, J. Dickson, C. S. Reid, Law, A. J. Perry, T. K. S. Sidey, T. B. Stewart, N. C. Speight, C. R. Woolley, J. Logan, J. Fulton, Stanley Wilson.
