TO THE EDITOR
Sir,—Mr Savage feigns Indignation regarding Mr Goodfellow’s straightout and true statement, and finishes up by saying that the living conditions will prove that his Government is doing the right thing. If Mr Savage wanted to be fair he should have said that a certain section is being well cared for. How many unfortunates who were careful all their lives and saved up enough to keep them in their reclining days are to be severely punished by the present Government?—l am, etc., October 20.
