Oamaru Trotting Meeting Acceptances for lire Oamaru Trotting Club’s meeting are due to-day. Metropolitan Meeting Nominations for the Metropolitan Trotting Club’s meeting are due to-morrow. Trotting Cup Plutus, Fine Art, King’s Paly, and Marsceres are the ruling favourites for the Trotting Cup. Good Going The Oamaru track Is reported to be in excellent order for the Oamaru Trotting Club’s meeting. Lord Daley An Australian record for a flying mile by an unhoppled trotter was made at the Melbourne Show when Lord Daley registered 2min llsec. The previous Commonwealth record was 2min 15Sec. made at Perth in 1923 by Princess Wilkes. The Dominion record is 2min 3 3-ssec. by Worthy Queen. Barney Doolan Barney Doolan, the Australian pacing record holder for a mile and a-half, failed to run into a place in either of two free-for-alls at the Melbourne Show. In one event he was beaten by Dan's Son. one of the Australian also-rans at the interdominion meeting at Addington. Linden Lou, a half-sister to Barney Doolan. covered a mile from a flying start in 2min 10 2-ssec. a record for a mare in Australia. Manawal The Man o’ War gelding Manawal paid close on a score when he won the Washdyke Trot, in which he was coupled with Swagger Jack. Star Ace The Nelson Derby—Nanette mare Star Ace made a bold bid in the Wshdyke Trot but found Manawal a few inches too good for her The well-backed Swift Ladv was a close third, and Club King, giving away 48 yards, was a good fourth. A Slow Class The placed lot in the Washdyke Trot began from a 3min 43sec mark, and each of them broke 3min 23sec. Accountant The 3mln 20 3-ssec put up by Accountant in the Hadlow Trot does not fully represent the merit of the performance, as he covered a good deal of extra ground during the race GORE REHANDICAPS (Per United Press Association) TIMARU, Oct. 15.
