It is his chronology that is wrong; not mine. ; " Israel shall abide many days without a king", (no planting .in'that statement). After Jeremiah had pulled down and replanted a tender • twig. of David's;, line of kings—Zedekiah's female • offspring—in .a city of merchants (which biblical phrase surely sounds similar to a -" nation of shopkeepers"). Israel would return (from idolatry) and seek the Lord, and David, their line of kings. It should be perfectly obvious to every Bible reader which line of kings was promised continuity—i.e., that of David, who' should never lack heirs until Christ returns to sit upon this throne of the Kingdom of the Lord on earth.—l am, etc., G.
