REVIEW AT TURIN KING TAKES THE SALUTE ROME, Aug. 9. While Signor Mussolini conferred with the Duke of Aosta on African defence measures, King Victor Emmanuel took the salute at the review of troops at Turin. He held a long conversation with General Haider, head of the German Military Mission, while bombers roared overhead. The extent of mechanisation was demonstrated by the fact that not a single infantryman passed in an hour out of the three-hour march past.
