COMMUNITY SINGING

Sixty of the young country girls who are visiting the city will be present at the Strand" Tneatre community sing to-morrow. An invitation has also been sent to the Bush Rugby team. The sing will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy Fullers' Corporation, Ltd.) at 12.15. A good programme of the latest, successes and other popular number-? will be presented. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader, with Mr A. Pettitt at the piano. On August 18 a "Scottish Day" will be presented, when the leaders will appear as Scotsmen. "Cheerios" may be sent .to Mr J. F. Himburg, secretary. Mrs Mcintyre, who has charge of the stall, would welcome flowers and-goods. . The proceeds will go to the Mayor's Relief of Distress Fund.
