SOUTHLAND The first match of the " home and away" matches between the two.associations was fired on Saturday night at Invercargill. In the men's matches the Otago teams established a lead, the first team winning by 788 points to 781 and the second by 778 to 757. The Legion of FrontiersmenWomen's Auxiliary and Exrlmperial teams met at the legion range on' Monday, and it was notable in that this was the first time the auxiliary members of recent formation have entered in matches, the results promising. well for future fixtures.
