FASHION SHOW IN BRUSSELS NO LIGHT-WEIGHT FABRICS (From Our Own Correspondent) LONDON. July 13; One of the most successful wool fashion shows held in Brussels was staged by the International Wool Secretariat. :•■■'■•■ • '-■ Occurring as it did. at the conclusion of the annual meeting of the International Wool Textile Organisation, the display was a fitting climax to a week of discussion on important matters relevant to wool. Over 400' guests were present .to view the secretariat's display, including wool industrialists from nine European countries. Belgian wool manufacturer? and wool brokers, prominent couturiers and the heads of many famous Belgian" stores. The press, was fully represented. , M. Andre Peltzer. president of: the Belgian Central Wool Committee, made a brief speech on the interest and iirnnrtance of the secretariat's work. M. Maurice Dubrulle. president of. the International Wool Textile Organisation, thanked the secretariat for their efforts, Mr A. Foster du Plessis. of the International Wool Secretariat, outlined the work and indicated the immense progress that had been achieved in the* brief period since its inception. ;■ ■ " Wool Leads the World " was the theme of the secretariat's souvenir programme specially designed for the occasion—and the international .nature of the presentation lent added force to this. point. The. presentation Was divided.into three first two dealing with specific, developments uv Paris and London which had:.been encouraged, and aided by the secre-' tariat.
