BRITISH PURCHASES INCREASE HOPED FOR (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, July 11. (Received July 12, at 6.30 p.m.) British trade with the Balkans was mentioned in Parliamentary answers. Mr Oliver Stanley, President of the Board of Trade, stated with regard to the question of an increase in British purchases of Greek tobacco that the matter was still under consideration, Mr Stanley also informed the House that Britain was now discussing with Bulgaria arrangements which it was hoped would produce some increase in British imports from Bulgaria and generally.oromote trade between the two countries.
