NAVAL COMMISSION
INQUIRY INTO CONDITIONS ARRIVAL OF MR C. M. BRUCE U'er United Press Association* AUCKLAND, July 10. With the arrival in Wellington today of Mr C. M. Bruce, who recently retired from the position of Principal Assistant Secretary of the Admiralty, London, the personnel of the commission appointed by the Government to inquire into (he pay and conditions of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy has been completed. The commission has already spent four days in taking evidence, as it had been deemed desirable to proceed without waiting for the arrival of MiBruce. It will probably meet in Wellington next week, however, to discuss the evidence already taken. It is not likely to take further evidence until the return to Auckland of the H.M.S. Leandev. Some members of the crew of this cruiser have already submitted written statements, but they wilt be given an opportunity to give evidence before the commission.
