“TRIP TO HADES ”
CHINESE REVUE Commencing on Wednesday next, at Mis Majesty's Theatre, and extending over five nights only, the appearance of Chang and his mystic revue should create much interest in Dunedin, Chanc’s own acts will naturally be the highlights of what promises to be absorbing entertainment. Associated with him will be such fine artists as Walton and Murray balancing acrobats: Ross Buchanan an English baritone, who will sing off-stage, a fine ballet, and the Cuban Marimba Band. This band, apart from providing the incidental music, will perform an act in the orchestral pit. Joanna and Beth Claire will do some clever eccentric dances Three of Chang’s most interesting performances will be given with the whole theatre in darkness except foi a few flickering lights on the Jage They will oe the “ Midnight Jungle Dance,” ‘Night m the Garden of Magic Flowers,” and the “Ghosts and Spooks." The first two are said to be spectacles, purt and simple, but unusual; the last is areally remarkable piece of stage magic. The “ghosts and spooks" leap eerily about the stage for a time, and then appear to float right into the auditorium to an accompaniment of terrifying groans and squeals. The box plans will be opened at the D.I.C. to-morrow.
