THE GREAT WAR'S DEAD
NOT SEPARATED BY FRONTIERS LESSON TO BE LEARNED (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, May 15. (Received May 16, at 6.30 p.m.) British, French and German officers, representing the War Graves Commission, silentlv paid a tribute at the tomb of the unknown soldier after Vice-admiral von Trotha (Germany) and General Hure (France) • had placed wreaths on it. Viscount Trenchard, who presided over the commission, said that frontiers did not separate the Great War's dead. Surely the lesson should be appled to wider spheres. Dr von Dircksen, Vice-admiral von Trotha and General Hure delivered impressive replies.
