• VON NIDA IN FORM DISPLAY AT MIDDLEMORE (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 15. The professional golfers Von Nida (Australia), Murray, Clements and Moss (Auckland) were responsible this afternoon for the most brilliant exhibition ever seen locally when engaged in a four-ball match at Middlemore. Von Nida and Murray won by 2 and 1 The Australian had an approximate stroke round of 70 and Murray was 66 for 17 holes. Clements was out in 33 but spoiled an otherwise great effort with a six at Ihe last Moss played fine golf to the greens, although his putting was not as accurate as usual. Von Nida praised the Middlemore course, placing it first in the Dominion, followed in order by Shirley, Titirangi and Otatara.
