MORE EFFICIENT DEVELOPMENT NEED STRESSED BY MR R. B. BENNETT CALGARY, Jan. 13. (Received Jan. 15, at 6.30 p.m.) Prior to his departure for England, Mr R. B. Bennett, a- former Prime : Minister of Canada, declared that onlv adjustment, organisation and the development of the resources within the Empire would solve the 1 problems of Canada. Other peoples within the Empire would never succeed by competition with foreign countries.
“If democracy is to be made as efficient as dictatorship we must sacrifice and discipline to that end,” he said. •
