GAELIC SOCIETY
SOCIAL EVENING The first meeting of the Gaelic Society for the year was held last evening. Chief A. McLennan presided, assisted by Chieftains W, H. McLeod and A, McKenzie. The chairman welcomed to the meeting two visitors. Miss MacKenzie, from Vancouver, and Mr John McLean, from Garton Downs, Clinton. Maclvor; songs, “Annie Laurie’’ and “Scrtland Yet, Bren Wilkins; dance, Sailors Hornpipe, Mavis Beissell; Gaelic songs, “ Seinn an duan so ” and “ Nighean donn,” Chief Angus McLennan: bagSipe selection, Pipe-major S. Waldie; aelic songs, “Dhealaich Mise’ nochd rim’leannan” and “O'teannaibh dluth ’us fogaibh fonn,” “ Gaelic Choir; songs, “ My Ain Folk ” and “ I Love a Little Cottage,’’ Phyllis Hanna; dance. Highland fling, Norma Stewart; Gaelic songs, “Fear a Chata" and “An cluinn thu mi mo nighean donn,” Mr Ken Parker; dance, Seauntreus, Phyllis Fow; pipe selection, Pipe-major S. Waldie.
Miss Budge supplied the dancing party, Mrs A. Matheson played the accompaniments, and Pipe-major S. Waldie played for the national dancers. A vote of thanks to the performers proposed by Chieftain W. H. McLeod brought the evening to a close
