WOMAN STOLE FOX FUR “You stole through vanity—sheer vanity,” remarked' the chairman of magistrates at South End, England, to Mrs Mary Goldberg, aged'29, of Stoke Newington, in fining her £5 for the theft of a fox fur and diamond ring from an apartment house, where she stayed during a holiday. It was stated that Mrs Goldberg gave a wrong name and address to the apartment housekeeper. .When she was interviewed by a detective, she stated: “I must have, been mad.
